Hring was incorporated in September 2025.
We're building an automated pipeline with the latest technology to recover aluminium, glass, copper,
silicon and eventually silver from end-of-life panels.
At Hring we're driving the future of the UK solar industry, tackling the exponential growth in solar
panel waste.

Imogen Shapland
Our founder
As CEO, Imogen brings a clear vision for a truly circular solar industry, combining technical expertise with a genuine commitment to sustainability.
With a background in renewable energy, data science and environmental consultancy, she has worked on projects for organisations including the European Commission,
WWF and the Climate Change Committee. These experiences shaped her decision to found the company, driven by a simple but urgent question: what happens to solar
panels at the end of their life? Under her leadership, the company has developed scalable recycling solutions that recover high-value materials, reduce waste
and strengthen the long-term resilience of the renewable energy sector. Imogen is driven by the belief that the energy transition must be clean not only in how power is
generated, but in how technologies are designed, used and responsibly retired.
